The Parent Mentor Project is a program funded through the Ohio Dept. of Education.
This program is designed to support families in understanding the special education

that maximize the learning process for each individual child.
She can help in a variety of ways that include:
- Offer one to one support for Interventions, MFE’s, IEP’s, assessment, program
options, aid in life planning, transition services (college, vocational employment
training)
- Link parents to support groups or other parents
- Assist you in understanding and developing MFE’s, IEP’s and attend team meetings
with you as requested
- Provide materials to assist parents and professionals
- Provide educational trainings/workshops of interest for parents
- Assist in making initial referrals regarding your child’s academic, speech,
behavioral or developmental concerns.
